How to disable auto-update apps in Google Play


It is annoying to see your android phone that Google Play is auto-updating and installing all your app every time you connect to the internet without your permission and the bad part of this if you are only registered to a promo that only offer a limited use of data that only good for browsing not for downloading. Take an action before Google Play eat your data allowance.

1. Open the Google Play Store app and tap on the navigation drawer (the three dash line). Then choose Settings.

3. In the Play Store settings, tap Auto-update apps.



4. You'll see three options: Do not auto-update apps, Auto-update apps at any time. Data charges may apply, and Auto-update apps over Wi-Fi only.




5. Choose the first one (Do not auto-update apps.). If you still want apps to update automatically, just not on your data connection, select Auto-update apps over Wi-Fi only.
